Reckless Driver Arrested

Authorities have arrested a central Florida man whom they say zoomed by a trooper at a speed of 108 mph.

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) – The Supreme Court Monday said violent video games can be sold or rented to children without parental consent. The high court upheld a lower court decision which threw out a California law banning the sale of games to kids.

These are games which allow them to “virtually” beat, torture and kill men and women. The court voted seven-to-two, saying government can’t quote “restrict the ideas” to which children can be exposed.

First Amendment lawyer Larry Walters says this is a victory for those who don’t want the government meddling into what’s appropriate for their children. He says, “There is no Florida law like some other states passed that restricts the sale of video games but many retailers were concerned about selling the games to minors so I think that what we’ll now see is a much more wide availability of mature rated games at the retail level.”

Some parents expressed to FOX 35 that they were unhappy with the ruling. “It shouldn’t be allowed so,” said Andreas Cruise. “I think it’s more important that it should be regulated.”
