(NewsCore) – Actor Seann William Scott, who shot to fame in the “American Pie” films, is out of rehab and ready to start filming another movie in the teen comedy franchise, Us Weekly reported Wednesday.

Scott, 34, whose casting credentials include “Dude Where’s My Car?” and “The Dukes of Hazzard,” entered an undisclosed treatment facility on March 16.

He did not reveal what prompted him to seek professional help, saying only it was for “health and personal issues.”

After he “completed a successful treatment program,” his rep told the magazine Wednesday “he is looking forward to beginning production next month on ‘American Reunion’ for Universal Pictures.”

The actor is famed for his role as the oversexed, party animal Steve Stifler in the popular “American Pie” film series but he countered perceptions about his personal activity, saying in a 2003 interview, “I don’t do drugs or alcohol. I don’t party. I don’t watch porn.”

Scott will reprise the role of Stifler in a fourth film for the “American Pie” franchise — expected to begin filming in late May. Actors Jason Biggs and Eugene Levy are also signed on for the project.

The comedy’s trilogy has grossed over $754 million worldwide at the box office and inspired a number of direct-to-DVD spin-off films.
