Just a day after we learned that Courtney Love had split from her British boyfriend, the Hole singer has found herself amidst a rather bizarre episode of grand theft auto involving photographer David LaChapelle and director Brett Ratner.
According to the New York Post, Love was at the exclusive SoHo House in New York’s meatpacking district when she proposed that she pick up Ratner and bring him to LaChapelle’s exhibition at Lever House on Monday night (June 27). But that’s not what went down.
Apparently, Love did not return at all, which left LaChapelle quite worried about his ride. A representative of the SoHo House told the Post, “Courtney did take his car. David was flipping out and going crazy at the front desk that Courtney stole his car.”
But Ratner has come forward saying “Courtney and David are best friends. We were all supposed to go to the Lever House together, but I was too tired. They were on the phone together while she was at my house.”
Regardless of what actually occurred, you can tack that onto the laundry list of Love-related mishaps.
