NEW YORK — Now playing: Movies at Walmart.com.
The world’s largest retailer on Tuesday started streaming many movies the same day they come out on DVD, in a second bid for a share of popular movie rental and streaming website Netflix Inc.’s business and just two weeks after Netflix announced new price increases.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. bought video-streaming service Vudu.com 18 months ago and now offers 20,000 titles that can be viewed on almost any device with Internet access, from computers to televisions to Sony’s PlayStation3 and other Blu-Ray disc players.
Movies are available at Walmart.com to rent for $1 to $5.99 or to purchase for $4.99 and up. Read full post…

Being a rock star and an acclaimed actor probably wouldn’t qualify anyone as a geek. Justin Timberlake still thinks he is one though. He proclaimed his geek status when he spoke to the press at San Diego Comic-Con, where he showed his upcoming sci-fi film In Time last week.
“We all got some geek in us,” Timberlake said. “I’m into video games. My favorite comic books when I was a kid were Archie comics. I think that’s probably apparent in my mission to make you laugh.”

The Hellboy star has given birth to a boy of her own, delivering him Monday, her rep tells E! News.
So what did Blair and boyfriend Jason Bleik name their bundle of joy?
Arthur Saint Bleick.
The little guy weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces.
He’s the first child for the 39-year-old actress and her beau. The two have been dating for over a year, meeting when Blair came aboard to work with Bleick’s Los Angeles-based fashion company, Ever.

AMY WINEHOUSE has been cremated after a private funeral earlier today in London, her father Mitch Winehouse gave a very moving eulogy. There were 300 to 400 mourners attended the service including some of her close friends KELLY OSBOURNE and MARK RONSON.
Amy‘s dad, Mitch Winehouse read an eulogy that ended with the words: “Goodnight, my angel, sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much”.
